Ian became our president in 2014, taking over from his colleague and surgical mentor, Professor Bill Heald. Based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation Trust, Ian leads the colorectal unit. He is also academically active and travels the world lecturing (and operating!) on complex abdominal problems.
