Bobby Minshull

Sometimes all it takes is one phone call to change a person’s life.

Bobbie joined us as a volunteer in 2012 and is one of our most dedicated helpline volunteers. The most valuable thing that she and our other helpliners give to callers is their own experiences of living with a stoma. Letting people know that they are not alone and that their problems and concerns aren’t unique, can make a huge difference.

For Bobbie, knowing that her advice can help a caller turn the corner is very rewarding. As she recently said, it’s all about: ‘talking to people who are in a deep trough and need a helping hand to climb out’.
