Bournemouth becomes the first Stoma Friendly Airport in the UK

Bournemouth Airport and Colostomy UK are delighted to announce that Bournemouth has become the first Stoma Friendly Airport in the United Kingdom after adopting Colostomy UK’s accessible toilet guidelines.

Nearly three quarters of a million people travelled through Bournemouth Airport in 2022, and that number potentially included thousands of people living with stomas.

All toilet blocks at the airport include a cubicle with hooks on door, shelf space, a disposal bin, full length mirror and Stoma Friendly Toilet signage.

Giovanni Cinque, Marketing & Campaigns Manager for Colostomy UK Welcomed the upgrades to the airport’s facilities.
