Judy Colston appointed as CA Trustee
24 September, 2015
The Colostomy Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Colston onto our Board of Trustees.
Over the past 10 years, Judy has supported the work of the Colostomy Association as a volunteer. Joining in 2005, Judy been a dedicated CA helpline, represented our charity at countless open days, helped set up an incredibly successful support group in her area and featured heavily in our colostomy irrigation DVD.
In addition to her passion and commitment to the Colostomy Association, Judy brings with her a huge wealth of skills and knowledge from her work in the NHS as a Patient Participation Group Representative and Clinical Commissioning Group Member.
Speaking about the appointment, Judy said: “I enjoy being a CA volunteer, attending Open Days and taking calls on the telephone Helpline and much more. I am winding down other charity organisations I have been involved with such as a local Alzheimer’s support and social group, committee member for a centre for the elderly, PPG representative at my local surgery and CCG member representing same. I will continue with our local successful stoma support group.
“The CA is such a successful organisation which I feel passionate about and it is for that reason I asked to be considered to become a Trustee.”
The Colostomy Association’s Board of Trustees provide the strategic oversight for the charity.
