With Valentine’s Day just a week away, many people will be swiping more vigorously on dating apps than usual. While meeting up might not be on the cards at the moment, some ostomates will be wondering when the ‘right time’ is to tell a potential date about their stoma.

Still Tap Dancing and Swimming at 91

I was in heaven swimming again at 90 years old. My post–stoma surgery exploits haven’t been limited to tap dancing, swimming and paddling in the sea either… at first, I vowed I could never board an aeroplane again, fearing problems with my bag. But I changed my mind. My first flight as an ostomate was to Edinburgh, we ended up dancing in the street in warm sunshine.
