Today is World Cancer Day and we would like to talk about the importance of early cancer diagnosis. Thousands of people in our stoma community have experienced cancer and had lifesaving surgery as part of their treatment.

Still Tap Dancing and Swimming at 91

I was in heaven swimming again at 90 years old. My post–stoma surgery exploits haven’t been limited to tap dancing, swimming and paddling in the sea either… at first, I vowed I could never board an aeroplane again, fearing problems with my bag. But I changed my mind. My first flight as an ostomate was to Edinburgh, we ended up dancing in the street in warm sunshine.

Sustainable Weight Loss for People with a Stoma
