The Western General Hospital provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist services to the people of Edinburgh, Lothian and beyond. Staff in the clinic treat more than 20,000 patients a year for a wide range of minor injuries and ailments. Our team is made up of the four stoma care nurses (Anne, Louise, Isla and Sheena) and we want to encourage our patients to get active by setting a good example!

Who can Join?

We encourage all our patients, other nurses as well as friends,family and anyone from Edinburgh to join our team!

Stoma 66 is all about challenging yourself. It’s about trying to make regular exercise a part of your daily life. Every step by every person counts towards our 66,000km target, there is no set distance you need to achieve, and you don’t need to be active every single day, just take note of how much activity you’re doing.
